Managing Director, Acquisitions

Job Title: Managing Director, Acquisitions
Location: Pasadena, CA

Job Summary:
The Managing Director, Acquisitions will be responsible for all aspects of the acquisition cycle, from sourcing investment opportunities to closing transactions. He/she must be a results-driven leader who will execute our real estate strategies, while leading the due diligence process, including strategic market analysis. The successful candidate must also be adept at all financial aspects of acquisition transactions.

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Finance and/or Real Estate, Master’s Degree preferred, minimum 10-15 years of experience in multi-family, condo or office underwriting and acquisitions, strong understanding of real estate markets and various property types within markets, strong existing network among target market owners and brokers, as well as strong working knowledge of real estate investment and real estate principles.

Managing Director, Architecture and Design

Job Title: Managing Director, Architecture and Design
Location: Pasadena, CA

Job Summary:
The Managing Director, Architecture, and Design will be responsible for leading the architecture and design processes for Gemdale’s West Coast projects. He/she will work closely with the Managing Director, Development as well as Development Managers to lead processes required to secure and deliver developments successfully.

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture, Design, or related field, Master’s Degree preferred, architectural licensure is required. A minimum of 15 years’ experience in massing, space planning/interior design/architecture for residential, office, land development, commercial, and multi-unit branded environments.

Executive Director, Asset Management

Job Title: Executive Director, Asset Management
Location: Pasadena, CA

Job Summary:
The Executive Director, Asset Management, will oversee asset management activities for a newly established West Coast Value-Add Fund. He/she will oversee the preparation and monitoring of business plans, all asset renovation activities, as well as serve as the Fund’s representative to the property in addition to working with internal and external property managers to review, evaluate and optimize asset performance. This individual will also work closely with our investment team on new acquisitions and efforts to grow the Fund’s portfolio.

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Business or a related field required, minimum of 10 years relevant experience demonstrated real estate asset management experience preferably with experience working on multi-family real estate, and has successfully managed more than 3 West Coast multi-family properties.

Acquisition Associate

Job Title: Acquisition Associate
Location: San Francisco, CA

Job Summary:
The Acquisition Associate will assist in all aspects of the real estate investment and acquisition processes. He/she will be responsible for assisting in deal sourcing, evaluating potential investment opportunities including modeling cash flows, assessing markets and the competitive landscape, conducting due diligence activities, analyzing investment returns, and creating executive committee memos and otherwise assisting in the communication of financial acquisitions and disposition strategies.

Qualifications:
BA/BS Degree in Real Estate, Finance, Economics or related field, Master’s Degree preferred, and a minimum of 3-4 years of experience in real estate investment/acquisition or related field.

Managing Director, Real Estate Development

Job Title: MD Real Estate Development
Location: San Francisco, CA

Job Summary:
The Managing Director, Real Estate Development, will be responsible for directing, developing, and implementing Gemdale’s real estate development opportunities within designated targeted cities. The Managing Director will report to the Head of Development, oversee the company’s development activities, and lead the project team in accomplishing project management goals.

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Finance and/or Real Estate, Master’s Degree preferred a minimum of 8 – 10 years of experience in multi-family, condo, or office underwriting and acquisitions.

Project Associate (Bilingual Mandarin/English language skills)

Job Title: Project Associate
Location: New York, NY

Job Summary:
The Associate candidate will have the opportunity to assist in all aspects of real estate investment and acquisition processes. The Associate candidate will be responsible for evaluating potential investment opportunities, including modeling cash flows, assessing markets and the competitive landscape, conducting due diligence activities, analyzing investment returns, and creating executive committee memos and also assisting in the communication of financial acquisitions and disposition strategy. In addition, the Associate will be responsible for updating business plan models throughout the development process until stabilization is achieved.

Qualifications:
BA/BS Degree in Real Estate, Finance, Economics or related fields, Master’s Degree preferred, minimum 2-5 years of experience in real estate investment/acquisition or related fields, real estate finance/accounting/economic fundamentals, asset management experience, efficiency in computer applications including Argus & MS Office with specific advanced expertise in MS-Excel. The candidate must be able to build complex cash flow models across various asset types as well as financing scenarios from scratch, Bilingual English/Mandarin language skills required.

Development Operations Associate

Job Title: Development Operations Associate
Location: Seattle, WA

Job Summary:
The Development Associate will assist in all aspects of the real estate investment, acquisition, and development processes. He/she will be responsible for supporting project leadership of the Development Department to ensure quality and timely execution of the design and development of projects from start to completion. As well as potential investment opportunities, including modeling cash flows, assessing markets and the competitive landscape, conducting due diligence activities, analyzing investment returns, creating executive committee memos, and otherwise assisting the Development team.

Qualifications:
1-5 years of related experiences preferred, general knowledge of real estate development principles, practices, finance, accounting, economics, and solid expertise in financial modeling-must be able to build complex financial models across various asset types/financing scenarios from scratch.

Development Manager (with a Design background)

Job Title: Development Manager
Location: San Francisco, CA

Job Summary:
The Development Manager will lead the field staff in the construction of the entire project and will provide leadership to the project team and help ensure quality and timely execution of design/build projects from design to completion. These phases include scheduling, subcontractor buyout, cost reporting, preparation of subcontracts, the handling of owner coordination, and project closeout. The Project Manager candidate will have run complex multi-million-dollar projects on their own and have proven successes in taking on additional responsibilities.

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management or Engineering required, Master’s Degree highly preferred, 7+ Years of Construction Project Experience, as well as strong knowledge of construction principles/practices required.

Director of Marketing - Office Leasing

Job Title: Director of Marketing - Office Leasing
Location: Pasadena, CA

Job Summary:
The Real Estate Marketing Manager will work with the development team on developing marketing plans, proposing positioning and pricing strategies, and executing established marketing plans to promote Gemdale’s targeted leasing of properties objectives.

Qualifications:
BS/BA Degree in related fields required, minimum 5-7 years of solid experiences in marketing of office leasing projects in the LA area, strong social media background, Real Estate Salesperson’s/Broker’s license required, experience in creating presentations and presenting to upper management/clients, ability to engage with senior executives within and outside the company, strong relationship management, influence and consensus-building skills, and practical, results-oriented attitude and proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
